Communications Design for Circle K
Client:
Circle K
Scope of work:
Communications Design and Uniform Design
Circle K recently introduced a refreshed global visual identity, marking a new chapter in the brand’s story. As part of this global update, our local region also needed to align with the new direction while still capturing the unique rhythm and spirit of our market. One of the most visible ways to bring this identity to life was through staff uniforms. Employees represent the first point of contact with customers, and what they wear plays a key role in shaping impressions. With this in mind, we designed a new set of uniforms that not only follow the updated guidelines but also bring warmth, positivity, and a sense of ease to everyday interactions.
The new uniform set includes a polo shirt and a jacket, both designed with functionality and comfort in mind, while also serving as strong visual brand carriers. We developed two key creative concepts: “hello” and “OK, take it easy.” These ideas were carefully chosen to reflect Circle K’s approachable personality and to connect emotionally with both customers and staff.
Hello:)
On the front of the polo shirt, we introduced a bold and friendly “hello” graphic placed alongside the Circle K logo. The intention is simple yet powerful: every time a customer walks into the store, the first thing they see is a greeting, even before words are spoken. This graphic transforms the uniform into a tool of communication, immediately creating a sense of warmth and openness. For customers, it delivers a subtle but memorable experience of being welcomed. For staff, it serves as a reminder that their role extends beyond service—it is also about connection. The “hello” element embodies the brand’s mission to make convenience not just quick, but also personal and friendly.
OK, take it easy
On the back of the polo shirt, we developed a second concept that combines Circle K’s recognizable “OK” with the refreshed tagline “take it easy.” This design speaks to a universal truth: modern city life is fast, hectic, and often stressful. By carrying this message on their uniforms, staff become ambassadors of calm and positivity.
The phrase is playful yet reassuring, reminding both customers and employees to pause and breathe in the middle of their busy day. It shifts the perception of a uniform from being purely functional workwear to becoming a mobile expression of the brand’s personality. Every interaction, whether a customer notices the phrase while waiting in line or sees it as staff restock shelves, becomes an opportunity to reinforce Circle K’s role as a friendly, dependable, and uplifting part of daily life.
Together, these two creative directions strike a balance between professionalism and friendliness. The new uniform designs stay true to Circle K’s global identity while adding a localized touch of humanity. By integrating simple but impactful messages into apparel, we turned uniforms into more than clothing—they are conversation starters, mood-lifters, and brand storytellers. Through this project, Circle K strengthens not only its visual consistency worldwide but also its relationship with customers in our region, one greeting and one reminder at a time.
